The actor’s new show is about a homeless musician from Soho

Actor and musician Giles Terera's new show The Ballad of Soho Jones opens next week at the St James Theatre in London. The piece, performed and written by Terera, is about a homeless street musician who decides to make contact with his son by putting his songs on YouTube.

Terera has been starring in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom at the National Theatre. Previous credits include The Book of Mormon, King John at the Globe, and The Tempest for Trevor Nunn.

The Ballad of Soho Jones runs at the St James Theatre on 13 and 14 May.
