In rehearsals for Bat Out of Hell: The Musical

Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf’s musical opens in Manchester this month before transferring to the West End

We were treated to a first listen to Andrew Polec and Christina Bennington rehearsing one of the songs from the upcoming musical Bat Out of Hell.

Polec plays the lead role of Strat with Bennington taking on the role of Raven.

Jim Steinman's musical is a romantic adventure about rebellious youths. Steinman composed Meat Loaf's "Bat Out of Hell" albums, and the musical will feature the songs "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)", "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad", and the title track.

The production, which premieres at Manchester Opera House on 17 February before opening in the West End on 5 June, is directed by Jay Scheib, with choreography by Emma Portner.

Bat Out of Hell runs at Manchester Opera House from 17 February to 8 April, and at the London Coliseum from 5 June to 22 July.
