Cynthia Erivo and Jennifer Hudson perform 'The Color Purple'

The pair are set to star in the Broadway transfer of the Menier Chocolate Factory production

Footage has been released showing Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson and West End favourite Cynthia Erivo performing the title song from their upcoming production of The Color Purple.

The pair star alongside Danielle Brooks and Kyle Scatliffe in the Menier Chocolate Factory production when it transfers to Broadway later this year.

Erivo makes her Broadway debut reprising the role of Celie.

The revival opens on 9 November 2015 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater, with an official opening date of 3 December.
