London Classic Theatre will present a new touring production of Terry Johnson's Hysteria beginning 1 February 2017 at the Malvern Festival Theatre before visiting 23 venues across the UK.

First seen at the Royal Court in 1993, Johnson's play, which won the Olivier Award for Best Comedy, depicts the great minds of Salvador Dali and Sigmund Freud colliding to startlingly hilarious effect in 1938 Hampstead.

Michael Cabot will direct a cast including John Dorney as Dali, Ged McKenna as Freud, and Summer Strallen in the female lead role of Jessica. Set and costume design is by James Perkins.

Terry Johnson is the author and director of Dead Funny which is currently enjoying a successful revival in the West End, and he also directed the new production of The Libertine starring Dominic Cooper at the Haymarket.

After Malvern, Hysteria will tour to locations including Winchester, St Albans, Buxton, Durham, Doncaster, Eastbourne and Swansea before concluding at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester on 20 May 2017.
