School of Rock extends in the West End

The West End run of School of Rock – The Musical has extended until 27 May 2017.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's adaptation of the 2003 film is currently running at the New London Theatre, where it broke the theatre's box office record previously held by War Horse.

When it opened in November, WhatsOnStage's Sarah Crompton said: 'You'd need a heart of stone not to melt at its sheer joy.'

The show is nominated for Best New Musical at this year's WhatsOnStage Awards.

School of Rock – The Musical is booking at the New London Theatre until 27 May 2017.
