Rosalie Craig will reprise her role of Althea in a concert performance of The Light Princess, alongside husband Hadley Fraser as Digby.

Directed by Paul Foster (A Little Night Music, Annie Get Your Gun), the musical is based on George MacDonald's Scottish fairytale about a princess who is cursed with weightlessness, so she can't touch the floor. Created by Tori Amos and Sam Adamson, the show premiered at the National Theatre in October 2013, and went on to win Craig the Evening Standard Award for Best Actress in a Musical. In 2015, a cast recording of the musical was released.

Adamson said: "I can’t wait to hear the incomparable Rosalie Craig sing the role of the princess again – and who better to be her prince than Hadley Fraser?"

Craig is currently appearing as Caitlyn Carney in the West End production of The Ferryman, which will close on 19 May. Her other credits include The Threepenny Opera and As You Like It at the National Theatre, and in September she will star in the West End revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company, playing the gender-reversed lead role of Bobbi, alongside Patti LuPone and Mel Giedroyc.

Fraser's previous credits include Saint Joan, The Winter’s Tale, Les Misérables and Coriolanus, and he is currently playing the titular role in the five-star revival of Young Frankenstein at the Garrick Theatre.

In his review of the original National Theatre run, WhatsOnStage critic Michael Coveney said that Craig delivered "one of the most extraordinary, vocally resourceful and physically triumphant performances [he had] ever seen."

Craig said: "It’s so wonderful to have the opportunity to revisit this incredible piece five
years on. It is hugely special to me and it will be a joy to hear it and sing it again after all this time."

The Light Princess runs at Cadogan Hall on July 1.
