In rehearsals with Jesus Christ Superstar

The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production opens later this month

We popped into rehearsals to chat with Declan Bennett, soon to open as Jesus in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar at the Open Air Theatre.

Last seen on the West End stage in Once at the Phoenix Theatre, Bennett has most recently taken up residency in Albert Square, playing the grandson of Dot Cotton in EastEnders.

Timothy Sheader's production also stars Tyrone Huntley as Judas and Anoushka Lucas as Mary. Choreography is by the Olivier Award-winning Drew McOnie, with musical direction from Tom Deering and design by Tom Scutt.

Jesus Christ Superstar runs at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre from 21 July to 27 August 2016.
