New queer festival announced by Camden People's Theatre

Bullish, a queer reworking of ''The Minotaur' 'by Milk Presents, will headline Come As You Are, the new LGBT+ festival at Camden People's Theatre exploring trans, non-binary and gender-queer identity.
The three-week-long festival aims to celebrate LGBT+ rights and 'interrogate and celebrate gender from cis to trans, from binary to beyond'.
The festival comprises talks and events including a workshop on gender positivity and inclusion, and an interactive cabaret lecture called Journey from Man to Woman by Mamoru Iriguchi that explores gender fluidity in nature.
Other performances include Man Up! a feminist drag show by Alexandra Sinclair and Camilla Harding and Salvation Shamanic Striptease, a solo show by Daniel P Cunningham exploring aspects of his identity as a white African man living with the legacy of Apartheid and how this interacts with his queer identity.
The festival coincides with the 50th anniversary year of the Sexual Offences Act 1967 which marks the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales.
Come As You Are runs at Camden People's Theatre from 12 to 30 September.
