Casting announced for UK tour of Ronald Harwood's Quartet

Wendi Peters and Jeff Rawle are among the cast of the tour which opens in Cheltenham next year

Casting has been announced for the UK tour of Quartet, which opens in Cheltenham next year.

Directed by Peter Rowe, the production will star Paul Nicholas (EastEnders), Wendi Peters (Coronation Street), Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) and Jeff Rawle (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire).

Quartet will open in Cheltenham in February 2018 before touring to Sheffield, Ipswich, Birmingham, Salisbury, Brighton, Cambridge, Richmond and Bath.

Ronald Harwood's play tells of a group of ageing opera singers in a magnificent retirement home in Kent.

Quartet runs at Cheltenham Everyman Theatre from 8 February to 21 April and then tours.
