First look at Kristin Scott Thomas in The Audience

Peter Morgan’s award-winning play opens at the Apollo Theatre on 5 May

Production images have been released showing Kristin Scott Thomas as the Queen in a new and updated version of Peter Morgan‘s WhatsOnStage Award-winnning play The Audience.

Stephen Daldry‘s production opens on 5 May at the Apollo Theatre with designs by Bob Crowley, lighting by Rick Fisher, sound by Paul Arditti and music by Paul Englishby.

Scott Thomas is joined by David Calder (Winston Churchill), Mark Dexter (David Cameron and Tony Blair), Michael Gould (John Major), Gordon Kennedy (Gordon Brown), Sylvestra Le Touzel (Margaret Thatcher), David Robb (Anthony Eden) and Nicholas Woodeson (Harold Wilson).

Morgan's play, which originally ran at the Gielgud Theatre, imagines a series of pivotal meetings between various prime ministers and the Queen.
