Tom Daley, Jennifer Saunders and Ophelia Lovibond were among the celebrities at Sadler's Wells last night celebrating the opening of Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes.

Ashley Shaw stars in Bourne's take on Powell and Pressburger's famous 1948 film about a dancer with a pair of enchanted ballet shoes.

In her five-star review for WhatsOnStage, Sarah Crompton called it a "sumptuous offering" and "one of his most deeply felt and very best".
