Acting legend Michael Crawford opened in the first night of The Go-Between last night at the Apollo Theatre.

The show stars Crawford as Leo Colston in the tale of a love affair over a long hot Edwardian summer. LP Harley's original novel has been adapted for the stage into a musical by Richard Taylor and David Wood. The show is directed by Roger Haines.

The cast celebrated opening night together after the show, with Gemma Sutton, Crawford, William Thompson and boys Archie Stevens and Stuart Ward appearing together.
