Casting announced for the Old Vic's One Hand Tied Behind Us series curated by Maxine Peake

The event will occur this Sunday at the Old Vic

The full line-up for One Hand Tied Behind Us, the series of monologues curated by Maxine Peake at the Old Vic has been announced.

The series will be performed on 11 March at 7pm at the south London venue, and will respond to the 100th anniversary of the 1918 Representation of the People Act, which granted some women the right to vote.

Bola Agbaje, the award-winning writer of Gone Too Far!, will present We Raise Girls!, which will be performed by Olivier and WhatsOnStage Award nominee Sheila Atim (Girl from the North Country, The Shakespeare Trilogy).

WhatsOnStage Award-winner Jill Halfpenny (Legally Blonde) will perform Ella Hickson's Betsy. Hickson's previous credits include Oil and Eight.

As well as curating the event, Maxine Peake has written a piece entitled by Contactless, performed by Siobhan McSweeney (Katie Roche, The Alchemist).

Kit de Waal (founder of Leather Lane Writers) will present Imagine That, performed by Flo Wilson (The Secret Garden, Richard III).

Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit author Jeanette Winterson will present Mother's Little Helper 1963, performed by Celia Imrie, who most recently appeared at the Old Vic in King Lear opposite Glenda Jackson.

There will also be music on the evening provided by The Unthanks.

One Hand Tied Behind Us runs at the Old Vic on 11 March at 7pm.
