EXCLUSIVE: New Elphaba announced for West End Wicked

Jennifer DiNoia will take over from Kerry Ellis as Elphaba in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria from 27 October 2014 for a limited engagement to 31 January 2015.

DiNoia, who joins the show after Nikki Davis-Jones had to pull out of her West End run, has had a long association with the show, having played Elphaba on Broadway, the US national tour, in Chicago and in Seoul and Sydney.

She marks her West End debut with the show, and it makes the fourth country and sixth company of Wicked that she's been a part of.

Jennifer DiNoia said: "I am so honoured and excited to be making my West End and UK debut in this incredible role that has been part of my life and career for eight extraordinary years. I look forward to working with Savannah Stevenson and the amazing London company."

The rest of the cast includes Savannah Stevenson as Glinda, Jeremy Taylor as Fiyero, Martyn Ellis as The Wizard), Liza Sadovy as Madame Morrible, Philip Childs as Doctor Dillamond, Katie Rowley Jones as Nessarose and Sam Lupton as Boq.
