Exclusive: First look at Nativity! The Musical
Exclusive production images have been released for Nativity! The Musical, ahead of the show's official opening at the Birmingham Rep next week.
The show stars Daniel Boys (The Boys in the Band) as Paul Maddens alongside Sarah Earnshaw (Wicked) as Jennifer Lore and Simon Lipkin (Avenue Q) as Mr Poppy.
Adapted from the hit film series that starred Martin Freeman and David Tennant, the musical is written and directed by Debbie Isitt with music and lyrics by Nicky Ager and Isitt. The plot follows teacher Mr Maddens and his assistant Mr Poppy who decide to mount a musical version of the nativity.
It was recently announced that Louis Walsh will be making his stage debut when the show comes to London's Eventim Apollo in December.
The show will open at Birmingham Rep, before heading to Southend (15 to 19 November), Sheffield (22 to 25 November) Manchester (29 November to 3 December), Plymouth (6 to 10 December), London (13 to 17 December) and Leeds (20 December to 6 January).
Nativity! The Musical runs at Birminghan Rep from 20 October to 12 November and then tours the UK.
