Aaron Sidwell is currently starring in American Idiot at the Arts Theatre. His previous credits include Loserville, Cool Rider and Ghost the Musical.

We caught up with Aaron and asked him: "If you were stranded on a desert island, which five showtunes could you not live without?"

1. "Goodbye" from Catch Me if you Can

AS: This song goes through a huge range of emotions and Aaron Tveit does such an amazing job of telling those. It's a tough song to sing as well so listening to him ease through it is an absolute pleasure.

2. "As Long As You're Mine" from Wicked

AS: Arguably the best love duet ever written in musical theatre. It just has everything you're looking for!

3. "Say It To Me Now" from Once

AS: I saw Declan Bennett in Once and when he sung this song it blew my mind. It made me go home and work harder on my guitar playing. So full of raw emotion.

4. "Left Spain" from Departure Lounge

AS: It's funny, sad and moving. The show is amazing and this song is just incredible! I've always wanted to do this show and still feel there is a bigger life for it out there.

5. "Touch Me" from Spring Awakening

AS: Again a show that I feel has another London life in it. Could really see it at The Arts Theatre for example. This song for me was what made me want to do the show. The music in it is great but this shows off every amazing voice in the entire ensemble of the show.

American Idiot runs at the Arts Theatre until 27 September. For more information and to book tickets, click here.
