Mamma Mia welcomes new cast and announces West End extension

The new cast will join the musical in June

West End long-runner Mamma Mia! has announced a new cast will be joining the show from 13 June 2016.

Returning to the role of Donna Sheridan will be Linzi Hately, who has played the part twice before in London between 2007 and 2010. She will share the part with Sorelle Marsh who will play the role of Donna at certain performances.

Starring alongside Hately will be Sanne Den Besten (Les Misérables, Queen’s Theatre, London) as Sophie Sheridan, Richard Carson (Miss Saigon, Prince Edward Theatre) as Sky, Dugald Bruce-Lockhart (The Three Lions, Edinburgh Festival and St. James Theatre) as Bill, Jemma Revell as Ali, Amy Webb as Lisa, Filippo Coffano as Pepper and Jake Small as Eddie.

The ensemble will be completed by Felipe Bejarano, Tabitha Camburn, Georgina Castle, Edward Chitticks, Louise Dalton, Ben Darcy, Rebecca Giacopazzi, Katy Hards, Jennifer Hepburn, Robert Knight, Rebecca McKinnis, Samira Mighty and Amy West, who will be joining Adam Clayton-Smith, Stephen John Davis, Craig Anthony Kelly, George Miller and Robbie Scotcher.

The cast joins existing members Mazz Murray as Tanya, Jo Napthine as Rosie, Richard Trinder as Sam and Alasdair Harvey as Harry.

The hit show has also announced an extension at the Novello Theatre and will now take booking until 4 March 2017. Tickets will go on sale from 22 April 2016.

Mamma Mia! premiered at the Prince Edward Theatre on 6 April 1999 before transferring to the Prince of Wales Theatre in June 2004. It has been in its current home the Novello since September 2012 and will celbrate its 18th year in the West End this year.
