Kerry Ellis takes over from Nicole Scherzinger in Cats

As previously reported, it has been confirmed that Kerry Ellis will take over from Nicole Scherzinger as Grizabella in Cats at the London Palladium.

The former Wicked star, who is currently nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award, will join Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical on 9 February 2015.

The production has also announced an extension to 25 April, which will see more than 100,000 new tickets going on sale.

Cats, which has returned to the West End after a 12-year hiatus, opened to rave reviews at the Palladium last December.

As well as Wicked, Kerry Ellis has theatre credits including We Will Rock You, My Fair Lady, Oliver!, Miss Saigon and Rent.
