Joely Richardson and Michael Xavier among guests at opening night of Barnum

Stars joined the cast of Barnum last night to celebrate the show's opening at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

The production is the first major London revival of Cy Coleman, Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble's Tony Award-winning musical.

The musical tells the story of PT Barnum, also known as the Greatest Showman on Earth. The score includes "Come Follow The Band", "The Colours Of My Life" and "There Is A Sucker Born Ev'ry Minute".

Joely Richardson, Beverley Knight, Richard Fleeshman, Michael Xavier and more joined Marcus Brigstocke, Laura Pitt Pulford and the rest of the cast to mark the opening.
