Casting has been announced for a gala performance of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens.

Union J's Jaymi Hensley will perform at the concert alongside Gerard McCarthy (Stalking the Bogeyman), Anton Stephans (The X Factor) and Edward Bennett (Photograph 51). The concert will also feature Max Bowden and Becky Craven (Waterloo Road), Harry Francis (The Book Of Mormon) and Matthew Seadon Young (Urinetown).

Presented by The British Theatre Academy, Elegies for Angels… is inspired by The Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, which was started by a small group of strangers in 1987 and now has over 48,000 individual panels commemorating those who have lost their lives to AIDs. It has music by Janet Hood and lyrics and additional text by Bill Russell.

All proceeds of the concert will go to The BTA, giving young people opportunities to train and perform for free.

Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens will be performed on 4 September at Charing Cross Theatre.
