In pictures: Kinky Boots celebrates first birthday

Matt Henry and new members of the cast got Kinky to mark one year in the West End

The West End cast of Kinky Boots, including newcomers David Hunter and Elena Skye, celebrated a year in the West End last night.

Hunter, whose previous credits include Once and One Man, Two Guvnors took over from Killian Donnelly in the role of Charlie Price, while Skye made her professional West End debut replacing Amy Lennox as Lauren.

Further additions to the cast include Alan Mehdizadeh (Billy Elliot) as Don and Cordelia Farnworth (Sunset Boulevard) as Nicola. Olivier Award-winner Matt Henry continues in the role of Lola.

The musical is an adaptation of the British film of the same name which follows a Northampton shoemaker who re-invents his business by creating shoes for drag queens.

Kinky Boots is currently booking at the Adelphi Theatre until 14 January 2017.
