In pictures: Aladdin rehearsals

The production opens for previews at the Prince Edward Theatre later this month

Rehearsal images have been released offering a first look at the much-hyped Disney production, Aladdin.

Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs the show which stars Dean John-Wilson as Aladdin and Jade Ewen as Jasmine.

Broadway cast member Trevor Dion Nicholas will make his London stage debut as Genie.

Based on the classic animated film, the musical features several of the original songs including "Prince Ali", "Friend Like Me" and Rice's and Menken's hit song "A Whole New World" which won the Academy Award for best original song.

Aladdin opens at the Prince Edward Theatre on 15 June with previews from 27 May. It is currently booking until 1 October 2016.
