Imelda Staunton extends with Gypsy to November

Jonathan Kent’s production is now booking to 28 November

The acclaimed West End production of Gypsy starring Imelda Staunton has extended its run to 28 November 2015.

Jonathan Kent's production, which is running at the Savoy Theatre following a successful stint in Chichester last year, stars Staunton as the indomitable Momma Rose.

Also featuring in the cast of Jule Styne's musical, which has lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, are Lara Pulver (Louise), Peter Davison (Herbie), Gemma Sutton (June) and Dan Burton (Tulsa).

The rest of the cast comprises: Jack Chissick, Anita Louise Combe, Harry Dickman, Roger Dipper, Louise Gold, Lauren Hall, Clare Halse, Billy Hartman, Tom Hodgkins, Kieran Jae, Julie Legrand, Danielle Morris, Damien Poole, Lucinda Shaw, Luke Street, Natalie Woods, Philip Catchpole, Liz Ewing, Lauren Ingram and Tom Murphy.

The production sees Gypsy returning to the West End for the first time in 40 years, when Angela Lansbury starred as Momma Rose.
