Britain's Got Talent's Jamie Raven to star in West End Illusionists

Seven illusionists will perform in the hit Broadway show at the Shaftesbury Theatre from November

Britain's Got Talent finalist Jamie Raven will star in The Illusionists, opening at the Shaftesbury Theatre on 14 November.

The show is the most successful magic show in Broadway's history, having previously sold out in more than 70 cities, and will premiere in the West End with seven illusionists.

As well as Raven, who was the runner-up in this year's BGT, The Illusionists will include 'escapologist' Andrew Basso, 'inventor' Kevin James, 'deductionist' Colin Cloud and 'warrior' Ben Blaque.

The production is the latest in a glut of magic shows in the West End following James Freedman: Man of Steal and the upcoming IMPOSSIBLE.

Creative producer Simon Painter said: ""We can’t wait to bring this electrifying show to London’s West End for a truly entertaining experience for the whole family. The Illusionists is the most non-stop and powerful mix of outrageous and astonishing acts ever to be seen on the live stage."

The Illusionists – Witness the Impossible runs at the Shaftesbury Theatre from 14 November to 3 January 2016.
