Forbidden Broadway opens at the Vaudeville
The Menier Chocolate Factory's production of Forbidden Broadway transfers to the West End's Vaudeville Theatre for a limited 11-week run.
Damian Humbley, Anna-Jane Casey and Ben Lewis are joined by YouTube star Christina Bianco.
Forbidden Broadway offers an alternative take on some of the biggest productions from Broadway and the West End, including The Book of Mormon, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Once, Matilda, Wicked and Miss Saigon.

Tuesday 16 September
Ballyturk opens at the National Theatre.
Cillian Murphy returns to the National, following his solo performance in Misterman, in Enda Walsh's new play Ballyturk. Walsh's long-time collaborator Mikel Murfi also appears along with the internationally acclaimed Stephen Rea.
The lives of two men unravel quickly over the course of 90 minutes in a play that is described as "gut-wrenchingly funny, achingly sad and featuring jaw-dropping moments of physical comedy."

Brazouka opens at the New Wimbledon Theatre
Directed by Arlene Phillips and produced by Pamela Stephenson Connolly and Burn the Floor's founder Harley Medcalf, Brazouka tells the true story of Braz Dos Santos' life on the toughest streets of Brazil through the dance language of Lambazouk and other authentic Afro-Brazilian dances.

Doctor Scroggy's War opens at Shakespeare's Globe
Howard Brenton‘s new play about the First World War follows 19 year old Jack Twigg as he enlists in the London Regiment and goes on a journey he never imagined.
Brenton and John Dove, the team that brought you the WhatsOnStage Award-winning Anne Boleyn, return to the Globe depicting Gillies’s war against war.

The Liberation of Colette Simple opens at Jackson's Lane
Inspired by the early Tennessee Williams play The Case of the Crushed Petunias, The Liberation of Colette Simple combines musical theatre, absurd comedy and live music to tell a story of liberation. In a magical world where canaries transform into cops and strange visitors cough up petunia petals, small town life is never what it seems.
