Hampstead Theatre stages plays about NHS and Met Police

Hampstead Theatre is reviving Tiger Country, Nina Raine's acclaimed play about the NHS, and staging a new work from Roy Williams about the Metropolitan Police.

Williams returns to Hampstead for the first time in 15 years with Wildfire, which is directed by Maria Aberg and billed as a "new thriller that looks at what is expected and what can be delivered in the vortex of modern policing."

It runs from 6 to 29 November 2014, followed by Tiger Country, which was first seen at Hampstead in 2011, from 8 December to 17 January.

Artistic director Edward Hall said: "Hampstead is proud to present Wildefire and Tiger Country, two extraordinary and compelling stories that take a hard look at the people behind some of our most important national services and the risks they take to keep us safe and healthy."

Casting for both productions is still to be announced.
