Graham Norton, Amber Riley and Mark Gatiss attend Everybody's Talking About Jamie opening night

The musical had its West End opening last night to a raft of five-star reviews

The stars turned out in force last night to celebrate the opening of the West End transfer of Everybody's Talking About Jamie at the Apollo Theatre.

Graham Norton, Amanda Holden, Mark Gatiss, Amber Riley, Roy Walker (father of the show's star Josie Walker), Andrew Lloyd Webber and a host of other stars all appeared, as the musical transfers down from the Sheffield Crucible after a run earlier this year.

Based on the real-life story of drag queen Jamie Campbell, Everybody's Talking About Jamie is composed by The Feeling lead singer Dan Gillespie Sells with a book by Tom Macrae. It stars John McCrea as lead character Jamie New, alongside Walker as Margaret New and Lucie Shorthouse as Pritti Pasha.

In her five-star WhatsOnStage review, critic Daisy Bowie-Sell described the show as a "dynamic, deliciously entertaining night out, a glorious tribute to what makes us human and a heart-warming appeal for acceptance."

Everybody's Talking About Jamie is currently booking at the Apollo Theatre until 21 April 2018.
