Full casting for Cilla the Musical

The cast joining Kara Lily Hayworth as Cilla has been announced

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming production of Cilla – The Musical.

Joining Kara Lily Hayworth as Cilla will be Andrew Lancel as Brian Epstein, Carl Au as Bobby, Amy Bridges as Rose Willis, Gemma Brodrick-Bower as Pauline, Paul Broughton as John White, Bill Caple as Ringo Starr, Tom Christian as Kenny Willis, Tom Dunlea as Hutch, Pauline Fleming as Big Cilla, Joshua Gannon as Paul McCartney, Billie Hardy as Pat and Michael Hawkins as John Lennon.

The cast is completed by Alan Howell, Jay Osbourne, Alex Harford, Will Kinnon, Jenny Murphy, Tom Sowinski, and Christopher Weeks.

Dunlea, Hawkins and Brodrick-Bower all starred in Jeff Pope’s original TV series Cilla, on which the musical is based. Lancel has also played the role of Epstein previously in Epstein – The Man Who Made The Beatles.

The musical, which has been written by Pope, will have the cast performing the Merseybeat sound. The musical follows the story of Cilla's life from Liverpudlian teenager to one of the best-loved entertainers in the country.

Songs included in the musical include "Anyone Who Had a Heart", "Alfie" and "Something Tells Me." Hayworth was chosen to star as Cilla after she attended open auditions in London.

Cilla – The Musical will run at the Liverpool Empire from 7 to 16 September, then tours to Edinburgh (19 to 23 Sept), Milton Keynes (26 to 30 Sept), Southampton (3 to 7 Oct), Birmingham (10 to 14 Oct), Blackpool (17 to 21 Oct), Cardiff (31 Oct to 4 Nov), Wimbledon (7 to 11 Nov), Stoke (14 to 18 Nov) and Manchester (21 to 25 Nov).
