First look at cast of Husbands and Sons in rehearsals

Rehearsal images have been released of the cast of Husbands and Sons in rehearsals ahead of opening night later this month.

Directed by Marianne Elliott and adapted by Ben Power, Husbands and Sons interweaves three of D H Lawrence’s greatest dramas (The Daughter-in-Law, A Collier’s Friday Night and The Widowing of Mrs Holroyd), and plays them simultaneously.

Anne-Marie Duff returns to the National to play Lizzie Holroyd .

The cast also includes Joe Armstrong, Matthew Barker, John Biggins, Cassie Bradley, Louise Brealey and Susan Brown.

Husbands and Sons runs at the Dorfman Theatre from 27 October to 19 January. It will then play at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester from 19 February to 19 March 2016.
