A few of my favourite things: The Crucible's Samantha Colley

Samantha Colley cut short her actor training to take on her first professional role, Abigail in the Old Vic production of The Crucible earlier this year. After receiving rave reviews, the production comes to cinemas throughout the UK and Ireland for two screenings only on 4th & 7th December.
Ahead of the screenings, we caught up with Samantha to find out a few of her favourite things.
Place to hang out?
Absolutely anywhere green and unpopulated, with my dog. Preferably a long moor with clear skies and a warm duvet-like jacket.
Restaurant?
A restaurant I stumbled across in London's Exmouth Market called Paesan. It was pouring with rain and I ran into this place with little expectation other than shelter but managed to stumble across a real gem. It's never unreasonably rammed and the mushroom pappardelle is mouth-watering.
Holiday Destination?
I used to favour anywhere I could recklessly cook myself in the sun but I've now found I get fidgety after five minutes. Nowadays I prefer to get stuck in somewhere with interest and variety. I recently had a perfect time in New York – running around getting up to all sorts.
Netflix Boxset?
House of Cards. Utterly brilliant.
Play/Musical that you have seen?
My favourite still has to be The Elephant Vanishes by Complicité based on the short story by Haruki Murakami. I watched it in literal awe.
Actress/Actor?
I would have to say Tom Hardy for solidifying my longing to be an actor. I remember watching The Take on DVD and telling myself there has to be a way to do it.
Theatre to visit?
I always feel in safe hands at The National. The vast range on offer always keeps you on your toes.
Theatre you've performed in?
The Old Vic will forever hold a special place in my heart. I had all my professional firsts there.
Moment in The Crucible?
Listening to Tituba's (Sarah Niles') feet meet the floor as she circled the stage with her impepo. I have the sound and smell imprinted on me in feeling as anticipation, excitement, fulfilment, joy and fear all rolled together.
