Exclusive: Full cast announced for My Fair Lady celebration

The full cast has been announced for the 60th anniversary celebration of My Fair Lady, staged at St Paul's Church in June.

Tony winner and Keeping Up Appearances actress Patricia Routledge joins the cast to play Mrs Higgins, while Bradley Jaden (Les Miserables, Shrek) will star as Freddie Eynsford-Hill. Sam Hiller (My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera) will play Colonel Pickering, and Rebecca Louis (Mack and Mabel, Betty Blue Eyes) will star as Mrs Pearce.

Joining the ensemble are Andrew Bateup (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat UK Tour), Jordan Lee Davies (Les Miserables), Katy Hanna (Les Miserables), Emma Harrold (Oliver), Sejal Keshwala (Bend It Like Beckham) and Joe Vetch (A Little Night Music).

The cast join the already announced line up which includes Frank Skinner as Alfred P Doolittle and Gina Beck, Alexia Khadime, Amy Lennox, Eva Noblezada, Laura Pitt-Pulford and Kara Tointon who all share the role of Eliza Doolittle. Anthony Andrews will play Henry Higgins and Liz Robertson, star of the 1979 London production, will narrate.

The evening will take place at St Paul's Church in Covent Garden on 19 June. Alex Parker is musical director and Alastair Knights directs the show, which celebrates the 60th anniversary of the original Broadway production. The evening will feature material cut from the original 1956 production, including a new song "Say a Payer For Me Tonight", which will not have been heard on the London stage before. An 18 piece orchestera will play many of the songs from Lerner and Loewe's score including "Wouldn't It Be Loverly" and " I Could Have Danced All Night".

Proceeds from the gala go to the restoration of St Paul's Church.
