Everybody's Talking About Jamie to perform at the WhatsOnStage Awards

The cast of the new musical will perform a section from the hit show

It has been confirmed that there will be a performance from Everybody's Talking About Jamie at the 18th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards.

The show, which opened in the West End last month to rave reviews, has been nominated four times, including for Best Actor in a Musical for John McCrea, Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for Lucie Shorthouse and Best New Musical.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie is the first production confirmed to appear at the awards, which takes place at the Prince of Wales Theatre on 25 February 2018. The annual ceremony is where the winners of the WhatsOnStage Awards are announced, alongside performances from some of the top talent running on the UK stage at the moment.

The WhatsOnStage Award nominees were announced at the launch earlier this month, with Bat Out of Hell and 42nd Street leading the way with eight nominations each. In the Best Actor in a Play category, Andrew Garfield (Angels in America), Andrew Scott (Hamlet), Bryan Cranston (Network), David Tennant (Don Juan in Soho) and Martin Freeman (Labour of Love) are all recognised. Eve Best (Love in Idleness), Imelda Staunton (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), Olivia Colman (Mosquitoes), Natalie Dormer (Venus in Fur) and Tamsin Greig (Labour of Love) compete for Best Actress in a Play.

Tickets for the concert are available for the public to buy, and the awards themselves are the only major theatre awards in which the audience choose who wins at every stage of the voting.
