The actors' charity Acting for Others raised a record-breaking £150,000 last night at The Ivy.

Stars waited on the stars at the event, with leading names including Noma Dumezweni, Arlene Phillips, Tamzin Outhwaite and Freddie Fox among those those bartending, waiting tables and manning cloakrooms.

Acting for Others is an umbrella organisation offering support for those working in the arts. During the event there was an auction held at the restaurant, with prizes including VIP tickets to the Olivier Awards and a walk-on part in Les Miserables.

Maggie Smith, Derek Jacobi, and Anne Reid were among the diners at restaurant.

Stephen Waley-Cohen, chairman of Acting for Others said: "Huge thanks to all the actors who gave the performances of their lives, and to the guests at two sold-out sittings at The Ivy, and to all the donors and bidders for the wonderful auction prizes on Sunday evening. Together they helped Acting For Others to raise really worthwhile funds for all theatre-workers in need."
