X-Men actor Danny Huston will appear at the Royal Court in The Kid Stays in the Picture.

Director Simon McBurney explores the life of film producer Robert Evans, who is best known for his work on the films The Godfather, Chinatown and his most recent film How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. He's credited with saving Paramount Pictures from collapse, but faced personal and professional problems in the '80s. The title is taken form his 1994 memoir, from which the play is adapted.

Huston will make his London stage debut in the play. His father, film director John Huston, played Noah Cross in Evans' Chinatown.

The cast also includes Thomas Arnold (The Lorax), Heather Burns (This is Our Youth), Max Casella (The Lion King), Clint Dyer (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), Ajay Naidu (Indian Ink) and Madeleine Potter (All My Sons).

The play has been adapted by McBurney and James Yeatman with costumes by Christina Cunningham, set by Anna Fleischle, video by Simon Wainwright, lighting by Paul Anderson and sound by Pete Malkin.

The Kids Stay in the Picture runs at the Royal Court from 15 March to 8 April, with previews from 7 March.
