Clive Judd, the new artistic director of Islington's Old Red Lion, has announced the latest season at the Old Red Lion.

Three new works make up the forthcoming season, which begins in February with The Listening Room by Harriet Madeley. The piece is a verbatim play about justice and death and will be directed by Max Barton.

The Listening Room is staged by theatre company Brave Badger. Madeley created the piece from interviews with five people whose lives have been changed by a violent crime and what happened when they agreed to meet the person on the other side of the event.

In March, Althea Theatre stage One Last Thing (For Now), a piece inspired by letters written during wartime in varying cultures and languages. The piece was workshopped originally at the Tristan Bates Theatre before a rehearsed reading at the Arts Theatre in 2015.

Tallulah Brown's work Sea Fret will close the season in April. A new play directed by Carla Kingham, the piece mixes stories of friendship and coastal erosion.

Currently running at the venue is new comedy Birthday Suit by David K. Barnes, and directed by Alice Malin.

As well as the new season, Judd announces a new literary manager for the Old Red Lion. Gus Miller will be responsible for continuing the theatre's work supporting playwrights and companies. Miller replaces Judd, who worked as literary manager at the theatre before becoming artistic director.

Judd took up the post after Stewart Pringle stepped down from the role in 2016.
