Casting announced for Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox

The production opens at the Nuffield Theatre before touring the UK

Full casting has been announced for the new production of Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox.

Greg Barnett (These Trees Are Made of Blood) will play the titular character who hatches a plan to outsmart his farmer neighbours in order to feed his friends and family.

Richard Atwill (God in Ruins) will play Rat/Bean, Raphael Bushay (Henry V) will play Badger/Boggis and Jade Croot (Doctor Faustus) will play Kit.

The cast also includes Sandy Foster (Rabbit), Lillie Flynn (Mrs Fox), Gruffudd Glyn (Mole/Bunce), Kelly Jackson (Mouse), Edward Hole, Tanya Shields Patrick Burbridge, Anna Fordham and Richie Hart.

Fantastic Mr Fox will open at the Nuffield Theatre on 30 November before touring to London, Cardiff, Dartford, Milton Keynes, Leicester, Oxford, Coventry, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bath, High Wycombe, Plymouth, Norwich, Bradford and Salford Quays.

The production, adapted for the stage by Sam Holcroft, will be directed by Maria Aberg with music by Arthur Darvill and lyrics by Darvill, Holcroft, Al Muriel and Darren Clark.

It will be designed by Tom Scutt with sound by Claire Windsor and lighting by Lee Curran.

Fantastic Mr Fox opens at the Nuffield Theatre on 30 November, with previews from 22 November, before embarking on a UK tour.
