Casting announced for Bugsy Malone at Lyric Hammersmith

Three teams of young performers will star in Sean Holmes’s production

Casting has been announced for the Lyric Hammersmith's upcoming revival of Bugsy Malone, which marks the first production on its main stage since a multi-million pound redevelopment.

Sean Holmes will direct three teams of performers aged 9 to 19 in the main roles. They include Britain's Got Talent contestant Asanda Jezile and former Matilda and To Kill a Mockingbird star Eleanor Worthington-Cox.

Tallulah: Samantha Allison, Sophia Decaro, Asanda Jezile
Fat Sam: Max Gill, James Okulaja, Jenson Steele
Dandy Dan: Oliver Emery, Jaydon Harris-Wallace, Tahj Miles
Fizzy Ashton: Henry Reid, Marley Lockhart, William Wright-Neblett
Lena / Babyface: Jamila Ajadi, Emily Beacock, Leah Levman

Ensemble: Hammed Animashaun, Miles Barrow, Katie Blythe, Isaac Gryn, Ainsley Hall Ricketts, Dominic Harrison, Cristina Hoey, Katie Lee, Jacques Miche, Rachel Moran, Lauran Rae, Lucy Thomas, Dale White and Jermaine Woods.

Holmes, who is the Lyric's artistic director, said: "After a long and exhaustive search we are delighted to announce the full cast of Bugsy Malone. True to the spirit of the Lyric the production will deliver everything you would want and expect from a stage version of Alan Parker’s seminal film – whilst promising unexpected surprises and delights."

The production, which features choreography by Drew McOnie and design by Jon Bausor, opens on 28 April 2015 following previews from 11 April.
