The company of Miss Saigon has announced that Carolyn Maitland is to take over the role of Ellen for a limited run from 30 July to 17 October 2015.

Maitland, who will join leading stars Eva Noblezada and Jon Jon Briones, is to replace Siobhan Dillon who has taken a break from the show to undergo treatment following an operation.

Maitland recently starred as Kathy Selden in Singing In The Rain at Kilworth House Theatre and previously understudied the role of Ellen. On Twitter, Miss Saigon said they were pleased to welcome Maitland back. Her first show will be Thursday's Matinee performance.
