Bend It Like Beckham heading into the West End next year?

Bend It Like Beckham the Musical is heading into the Phoenix Theatre in London's West End next year, following the recently announced closure of Once, according to Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail.
Based on the 2002 film starring Keira Knightley, the musical will be directed by Gurinder Chadha, who also directed the film, and has music and lyrics by Howard Goodall and Charles Hart.
The film centres around 18-year-old daughter of Punjabi Sikhs in London. Infatuated with football but forbidden to play by her parents, she joins a local women's team, which makes its way to the top of the league.
The rumour mill has recently linked stars including Samantha Barks and Frances Ruffelle to the project.
