Nikolai Foster's anniversary production of Beautiful Thing, which is embarking on an 18 week UK tour next month, will return to London's West End for a short run at the Arts Theatre from 3 June to 11 July.

The production of Jonathan Harvey's play, which had a sell-out London run in 2013, has also announced dates in Guildford and Northampton.

The tour stars Charlie Brooks as Sandra, with Thomas Law as Ste, Sam Jackson as Jamie, Gerard McCarthy as Tony and Vanessa Babirye as Leah.

Beautiful Thing is an urban love story between two young men set on an inner city housing estate. It tells the story of teenager Jamie's relationship with classmate and neighbour, Ste. Together the two boys find comedy, warmth and the music of Mama Cass through their loud-mouthed next door neighbour Leah.

Executive producer Tom O'Connell said: "Further to our award-winning West End season in 2013, the demand to bring Nikolai Foster’s sell-out production back to London has been overwhelming. I’m thrilled that it can return to the Arts Theatre, a perfect intimate space for our beautiful, intimate play."

Beautiful Thing opens in Canterbury on 23 March 2015, before touring to Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Guildford, Northampton, Leicester, London, Cardiff and Brighton.
