Exclusive: Cast announced for Anatomy of a Suicide at Royal Court

Casting has been announced for Katie Mitchell's upcoming production of Alice Birch's play Anatomy of a Suicide at the Royal Court.

Alice Birch's play is to star Kate O'Flynn (The Glass Menagerie), Hattie Morahan (A Doll's House), Paul Hilton (Terrorism), Sarah Malin (The Tempest), Gershwyn Eustache Jnr. (The Royale), Peter Hobday (Othello), Adelle Leonce (Torn), Jodie McNee (The Night Watch) and Dickon Tyrrell (Harvest).

O'Flynn joins the cast after performing in John Tiffany's recent production of The Glass Menagerie which finishes its run in the West End this week. Morahan returns to the Court after starring in The City and in the Young Vic's hit production of A Doll's House.

The play will be directed by Mitchell, whose recent work at the Court includes Ophelia's Zimmer, also with Birch, and 2071. Birch's work includes Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. and We Want You To Watch at the National Theatre.

Birch's play centres on three generations of women struggling with a painful legacy.

Anatomy of a Suicide runs from 8 June to 8 July, with previews from 3 June.
