All-female production of Posh coming to London

Cressida Carré will direct an all-female version of Laura Wade's Posh in London next year.

Wade's play about an Oxford student dining club, based on the infamous Bullingdon Club whose alumni include David Cameron and Boris Johnson, will open at the Pleasance Theatre Islington on 3 April 2017.

Posh premiered at the Royal Court in 2010 with a cast including Kit Harington, James Norton and David Dawson, before transferring to the West End. It was adapted into the film The Riot Club, in 2014.

Wade's other writing credits include Tipping the Velvet (Lyric Hammersmith), Alice (Crucible Theatre, Sheffield), and Breathing Corpses (Royal Court).

Casting for the all-female production is yet to be announced.

Posh will run at the Pleasance Theatre, Islington from 3 to 22 April 2017, with previews from 29 March.
