A new show celebrating the recording of The Beatles' albums at Abbey Road studios is reportedly coming to the Royal Albert Hall next year.

The Sessions at Abbey Road will feature a replica of the studio in which the band recorded their iconic music, and focus on how The Beatles developed each song.

Geoff Emerick, a studio engineer who worked on albums including Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, told The Times the show aims to be "as technically accurate as possible".

Emerick is acting as a consultant on the project, which is being developed by producer Stig Edgren and will feature a cast of 45 performers.

Edgren said: "We're not trying to look like The Beatles. We're trying to sound like them. The idea is you're watching them in recording session mode."

Tickets for The Sessions at Abbey Road, which will run next year, will go on sale on Friday, reports The Times.

Beatles tribute show Let It Be is currently booking at the West End's Garrick Theatre until 5 September 2015.
