Lenny Henry and David Suchet have West End Encounters

Lenny Henry and David Suchet will take part in a new series of one-on-one interviews at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue next year.

Encounters: Performers on Performance is billed as "a unique series of one to one conversations with high profile performers talking personally, candidly and entertainingly about their life and art."

Fiona Lindsay will conduct the interviews, beginning with Henry on 20 January 2014 and Suchet 24 February. Further evenings will be announced in due course.

Lenny Henry, best known as a comedian, has recently appeared on stage in Othello (Northern Broadsides), The Comedy of Errors (National Theatre) and Fences (West End).

David Suchet, who recently ended his long association with the role of Hercule Poirot, has numerous stage credits including his WhatsOnStage Award-nominated performance in Long Day's Journey Into Night, All My Sons and Complicit (Old Vic'').
