Richard Eyre's Almeida Theatre revival of Ibsen's Ghosts is reportedly transferring to the West End's Trafalgar Studios next month, marking a hiatus in the Jamie Lloyd season.

Ghosts, which stars Lesley Manville, will open at Trafalgar Studios on 9 December 2013, according to the Daily Mail.

The production opened to acclaim at the Almeida last month, and also features Brian McCardie (Jacob Engstrand), Charlene McKenna (Regina Engstrand), Jack Lowden (Oswald Alving) and Will Keen (Pastor Manders).

WhatsOnStage's Michael Coveney said of the production that Manville, who is nominated for an Evening Standard Award for her portrayal of Mrs Alving, "offers a powerfully projected portrait of a young woman grown old before her time".

Its run at Trafalgar Studios means that The Pride will be the final production in the Jamie Lloyd's Trafalgar Transformed season, which has previously featured revivals of Macbeth and The Hothouse.

The Mail's Baz Bamigboye reports that The Pride, which stars Hayley Atwell, Al Weaver, Mathew Horne and Harry Hadden-Patton, will embark on "a short tour early in the New Year", visting Manchester, Richmond and Brighton.

Bamigboye added: "A second Jamie Lloyd season will kick off in the spring."
