Programme Announced for British Dance Edition 2010

British Dance Edition (BDE) has announced its programme for the 2010 event which takes place in Birmingham in February next year.

The four-day programme is the UK dance industry’s biennial showcase which profiles British dance to visitors from around the world. It includes discussions, lectures, performances, and public events.

This year sees several artists present works in progress, including Akram Khan’s forthcoming Vertical Road, Will Tuckett’s Wildwood Productions (Sitting Room Circus), Rosie Kay Dance Company (The Body Is The Frontline), and Protein (LOL Lots of love).

There’s also an exploration of some of Birmingham’s unexpected dance spaces and includes work by Liz Aggiss, Clod Ensemble, Dudendance, Iona Kewney, and Anna Krzystek.

A new event for 2010 is the BDE Research Project – a Dragon’s Den-style opportunity for dance artists to pitch research ideas to a selected producer panel.
