Choreographer Frédéric Flamand In Tate’s Lecture Series

The Belgium-based choreographer Frédéric Flamand and Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne will appear at Tate Modern in its John Edwards lecture in December. Organised by The Architecture Foundation, the lecture is a new annual dialogue between leading international architects and influential figures from other disciplines, from artists and filmmakers to writers and dance makers.

Flamand asked Mayne to create the set for his Silent Collisions work which premiered at the Venice Biennale in 2003 during the first International Festival of Contemporary Dance. Flamand, who is artistic Director of Charleroi Danses, has been working with architects since 1996 to realise his work, including Zaha Hadid.
