Photos: Winners and presenters gather at Guildhall for UK Theatre Awards

Simon Callow, Janie Dee and Daniel Evans were among this year’s winners, while Michael Xavier hosted the ceremony

The UK Theatre Awards (formerly TMAs) were presented today, with winners and guest presenters gathering at Guildhall in London.

Presented by Michael Xavier, the lunchtime ceremony saw gongs presented to winners including Janie Dee, Simon Callow and Sian Phillips, and performances from Dee and Frances Ruffelle.

Sheffield Theatres, led by artistic director Daniel Evans, picked up four awards including Best New Play, Best Musical Production and Best Touring Production.

Guest presenters included Gina Beck, Christopher Biggins, Sharon D Clarke, Louise Dearman, Katherine Kingsley, Maureen Lipman, Hattie Morahan and Ben Richards.
