Liam Tamne joins The Phantom of the Opera
Liam Tamne, whose West End credits include Les Miserables and Wicked, takes over as Raoul in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera from tonight. He's joined in the new cast by John Ellis as Piangi and Alicia Beck as Meg, both of whom make their West End debuts. Gerónimo Rauch continues as The Phantom, with Harriet Jones staying on as Christine (alternating with Emmi Christensson).

Briefs: The Second Coming returns to the London Wonderground
Billed as an "all male, sharp shooting cabaret of burlesque with balls, high flying circus bandits and savage gender offenders", Briefs returns to the London Wonderground, fresh from a run at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Little Revolution premieres at the Almeida
London Road co-creator Alecky Blythe returns with a new verbatim drama centring on the 2011 England riots. It opens at the Almeida with a cast including Ronni Ancona and Imogen Stubbs.

The Return of the Soldier opens at Jermyn Street Theatre
A new musical centred on the First World War premieres at the Jermyn Street Theatre, with Stewart Clarke (pictured) starring as Captain Christopher Baldry. Also in the cast are Zoë Rainey, Laura Pitt-Pulford, Michael Matus and Charlie Langham.

The Flouers O'Edinburgh is revived at the Finborough Theatre
With the Scots preparing to go to the polls to vote on independence, the Finborough presents the English premiere of Robert McLellan's "classic Scottish romp", as part of its Scotland season.
