Dylan Atkinson has won our exclusive Miranda Sings! competition to perform alongside the YouTube star during her show this week at the Leicester Square Theatre.

Dylan, 19, won from a field of over 200 video entries to be crowned the winner and, as part of his prize, he will make his West End debut putting in a very special guest appearance during Miranda’s show this Friday night (13 September 2013).

We can’t reveal all the details, but we can say that Miranda – whose YouTube channel has nearly half a million subscribers – has already been in touch with her winning ‘Mirfanda’ and is planning something pretty spectacular!

Dylan said of his victory: “It feels absolutely amazing to have been chosen, a dream come true getting the chance to perform with my favourite YouTuber! Highlight of my life #gotcha.”

Readers were challenged to give their best Miranda impression whilst performing a tribute to the West End, inspired by Miranda’s own showtune medley.

Dylan’s inventively edited video saw him applying (and inadvertently tasting) Miranda’s trademark lipstick, before launching into a West End musical medley featuring Les Miserables, The Lion King, Stomp, Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera, Matilda, The Book of Mormon, We Will Rock You and Wicked.

Dylan is the second winner of a Miranda competition on WhatsOnStage – back in 2010 Irishman Damien Kavanagh performed alongside Miranda after winning our inaugural contest.

This time round we also ran a photo competition, asking readers to submit their best visual impressions of Miranda. See the winners – each of whom wins a pair of tickets to the show this week – in our gallery.

And we’ll be posting a ‘big list’ of some of our favourite runners-up videos, so watch this space!
